Harley Davidson Motorcycles

What we don’t do:

Because I’m a little on the OCD side, I refuse to work on junk.  I don’t want to own of all the problems that a dozen unqualified shops, buddies, or shadetree mechanics have created on your motorcycle.   We do not sell or install the cheap junk that’s out there.  If you want cheap, we’re the wrong shop for you.  If you call or walk in and proceed to tell me how cheap you can get it somewhere else, or how the forum guy said it should cost X, or the manufacturer’s YouTube video says it takes Y, we’re the wrong shop for you.

What we do, and do well:

At American V-Twin,LLC we specialize in performance, service, repair,  and high-end customizing of 2003 and newer Harley-Davidsons.  As a full-service shop, we sell all the parts for your motorcycle at reasonable prices.  We are a brick and mortar shop, not an online wholesaler.  This is how we make a living.  We provide all the up-front consultation, repair and installation expertise, and service after the sale on all our services.  This is our promise to our loyal customers.

We’re a Certified Dynojet Research and Power Commander Tuning Center, ThunderMax Premier Dealer and Tuning Center, and last but not least,  Certified TechnoResearch Direct Link Tuning and Service Center!

Don’t put your motorcycle in the hands of just any mechanic! You can expect personal, first-rate, experienced service with quick turn-around times, so you can get back out on the road.

We have invested in all the best technology to service your late-model bikes.  We have computers and software that enable us to do everything your HD dealer’s “Digital Technician” can do and more.  This includes ECM, TSSM, and security key fob programming, ABS bleeding and purging, Audio Flashing when upgrading your speakers or adding an amplifier, and Flash Tuning.  We’ve got thousands of hours on the dyno tuning with Race Tuners and Super Tuners, TTS, PCV, Power Vision, and the best of the best, TechnoResearch Direct Link!   And we’ve been through nearly every one of these manufacturer’s Advanced Training Courses.  So before you buy something online that you’re being told is the answer to all your performance prayers, come talk to us.  We’ll educate you at no cost and let you choose how to proceed once you have all the information you need.

  • Scheduled Maintenance and repairs that CANNOT jeopardize your manufacturer warranties!

You want to upgrade or have your motorcycle serviced, but you’re worried about your bike’s new vehicle warranty. By promoting the myth that aftermarket equipment automatically voids warranties, some dealers avoid warranty work. Under the Magnuson-Moss Act, aftermarket equipment which improves performance does not void a vehicle manufacturer’s original warranty.

A dealer must prove that aftermarket equipment caused the need for repairs before they can deny warranty coverage on that basis. What’s more, dealers cannot void your warranty themselves, only the manufacturer can.  Dealers can only make suggestions to the manufacturer.  Dealers cannot refuse to perform warranty services unless and until the manufacturer makes a ruling on it.  To challenge a dealer’s claim about voiding warranties, ask them to put it in writing. If they refuse to give you a written statement, this is a violation of Federal law. The Federal Trade Commission , which administers the Magnuson-Moss Act, monitors compliance with warranty issues. Direct your dealer complaints to the FTC at (202) 326-3128.
